Joseph David Lee, Jr. son of the late Eleanor Vivian Tucker and Joseph D. Lee, Sr., was born on July 14, 1934 at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield, New Jersey. He departed this life on Friday, February 2, 2024.

Joseph moved from Plainfield, New Jersey to East Brunswick, New Jersey in 1975. He graduated from Plainfield High School. He served from June 1955, in the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge in February 1959 and he was an Airman 2nd Class.    

In 1973 he met his beloved wife, Mary L. Farrior, in which they married in 1976 and together created a beautiful family full of love in East Brunswick, NJ. They were the epitome of what soul mates are. He was always the life of the party and loved to dance and each time you saw him his smile was infectious.  

Joseph and Mary Lee were members for 40 years of the Sayre Wood Baptist Church in Old Bridge, NJ.

Joseph was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his eight children and their spouses, Carl Joseph Lee, Plainfield, NJ; Traci Lee, Buford, GA; Crystal and Robert Walker, Salem, NJ; Rhamon and La’Shea Trent , Hamilton , NJ; Toi and Danny Collins Sr, East Brunswick, NJ; Keyjo Lee, San Francisco, CA; 11 grandchildren: Tiffany Douglas, Jacquea and Lissette Lee, Tierra Lee, Terrae and Jamar Charleston, Tatyanna Ruiz, Danny Collins Jr, JaNiyah Trent, Devon Little, Rashawn Walker. Sisters -in-law Audrey Farrior and Bernadette Farrior of Trenton, NJ, Caregiver (Family) Samantha Williams, New Brunswick, NJ and a host of great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Lee, (son) James David Lee , (daughter) Brenda Lee Jackson, (granddaughter) Tia Jackson, (mother) Eleanor Vivian Tucker (siblings), Shirley Patterson, Anita Johnson and Viola Copper (brothers-in-law) James and Bill Farrior.

There are some who bring light so great to the world that even after they have gone their light still remains……
