Evelyn Juliet Rich was born on December 24, 1940 to the late McLaurin Sanders and the late Vorise Cave. At the age of fifteen , she came to New York City, where she attended Jamaica High School and graduated, beginning a life marked by determination, hard work, and perseverance.Evelyn married William Regis Rich , and together there were children Darrell Stanley Rich , Michelle Cherice Rich- Hoyte ,Raymond Titus Rich , Maurice Rich and Irwin Rich. As a wife and mother , she created a loving home where faith, kindness and family came first. She later worked as a crossing guard before becoming a New York City Traffic Enforcement Agent, retiring in 2001. Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willian and children , Darrell , Michelle. She leaves to cherish her memory ,her son Raymond wife Iolette Brown-Rich, sons Maurice and Irwin. The grandchildren Tatiana Rich , Taurean Rich, Brandon Connell, Kevon Hoyte , Maryellen Rich , William Rich , Reggie Rich and Kasey Priego. And her beloved grand dog Summer. In addition to a host of great grandchildren ,brothers , sisters ,cousins , nieces , nephews, extended family and friends. The Family wants to extend heartfelt gratitude to Phillip and Fairy Thomas for their unwavering love and care for their cousin.
