There are many fond memories of growing up in North Newark, NJ in a household full of love. Rozy, as we lovingly called her, was a very loving, kind and friendly, yet down-to-earth person. She was intelligent, a problem solver, and a creative person who loved the spice of life. Rozy was a very good cook, loved music, singing and dancing. Her life was not easy but she was a strong, self-reliant woman, who pressed on through the adversities of life. She will be truly missed and forever in our hearts.

Washington III, and is survived by two sons, DuWayne and Matin Washington; two daughters, Niataya and Shaquna Washington; one grandson, Kaseem Ibraheem-Washington; one granddaughter, Qiy’yam Ibraheem-Washington; three sisters, Linda (Daniel) Gaskins, Janis Tillotson, Patricia K.
