Sean Edward Stewart, lovingly known as S1, Sdot, or Don Don, was born on June 17, 1978, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, to June Stewart and Edward "Bunny" Gales. He departed this life unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Irvington, New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, June Stewart; father, Edward Bunny Gales; sister, Tonya Dionne Stewart; brother, Edward "Man" Brockenbaugh and grandmother, Precious Taylor.
Sean was educated in the East Orange Public School System. He began his career as a delivery driver before finding his true calling at the Franklin Township Board of Education. There, he worked as a custodian, where he proudly obtained his boiler license.
Sean's infectious laughter and vibrant personality made him a beloved friend and family member. He was the life of the party and had an uncanny ability to bring joy to those around him. He cherished his alone time and had a deep love for music, particularly his favorite rap group, M.O.P. He also took great pride in his fish tanks. After a long day's work, nothing brought him more joy than enjoying a cold Coors Light, often playfully announcing, "I’m going to my bar."
Sean was truly caring individual, often helping friends in need and fiercely protective of his family. Sean will be dearly missed by his family, who were fortunate to witness and experience his profound love. His spirit, kindness and humor will remain in our hearts.
Sean was longtime friends with Corey, Buck, Troop and the 279 4th Ave crew and remained friends with them until the end.
