He was the beloved son of Simone Collins and Thurman Muhammad, a devoted father to Jayson and Jaymeson Muhammad, a dedicated friend, and a man of remembered for his faith, generosity, and integrity.
Early Life and Education
Yusef grew up with a strong sense of discipline, kindness, and community. He attended Assumption All Saints grammar school, where he demonstrated leadership and compassion. As a teenager, he practiced Goju Karate with his father, Thurman, and his brother, Jihad -lessons that strengthened his discipline, focus, and character.

Yusef worked at JMP Logistics LLC in Perth Amboy, where he became an integral part of the Long-Haul Team and built lasting friendships. With a strong desire to serve others, he was preparing for a new chapter by studying for the New Jersey Fire Department Exam, aspiring to protect and uplift his community as a firefighter.
Beyond work, Yusef had an entrepreneurial passion for fashion and personal style. He enjoyed staying fit, traveling with family, and presenting himself with confidence and care. His love for looking and feeling his best was matched by the pride he took in helping others shine.

Yusef is survived by his loving parents, Simone Collins, Thurman Muhammad, and Loving Stepmother Nadine Muhammad. He leaves behind his brother Jihad, his sisters Summer, (Sister-in-Law Vick), Vanessa, and Asia (and brother-in-law Allen). Loving Grandparents, Elaine Rose, Thurman Rose Sr, Brenda Wood. Nephews’ Ahmari, Karter, and CamRon.
He will also be remembered by a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, devoted friends, and colleagues who continue to carry his light forward. Above all, he lives on through his cherished sons, Jayson and Jaymeson, who were the center of his heart.
